Cog in the Machine
Blight grew a cog. Press it and you get a menu, which on a phone means there's finally a way out of a match other than losing it. The blight doesn't pause while you're in there, mind; it has places to be.
- Android tablets: the menu's Blight banner no longer sits on top of the buttons; it has its own side of the screen now, on any shape of screen.
- Groundwork for Blight on iPad: the game builds for iPadOS and runs on a real iPad (not released yet; first stop is the studio's own iPad).
- A cog menu in the corner (#1): leave the match, quit, turn the music or crash reports on and off. Phones and tablets finally have a way out of a match; on desktop, Escape opens it instead of dropping you straight to the main menu.
- Phones and tablets: the HUD keeps a sensible physical size on any screen. Text is readable on high-density displays and the weapon buttons no longer fill a tablet.
- Game over on a phone or tablet: tap to get back to the menu (there's no Escape key to press).
- Keyboard hints ("Press ENTER to chat", "WASD Move", "M - Mute") no longer show on touch screens.
